Attorney

Watton Law Group, S.C. is a nationally recognized bankruptcy firm, with six locations across the country.

Watton Law Group seeks a motivated attorney with 0-2 years of experience to join their team in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. The attorney will have immediate client interaction as they develop relationships with clients by providing counsel, helping clients understand their options, and representing clients in court and negotiations. No prior bankruptcy experience is necessary as the applicant will receive hands-on training with our accomplished attorneys. The position offers an excellent working environment and vast opportunities for professional growth.

Attorney Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meet with clients to discuss their financial options.
• Organize plans and strategies tailored to clients’ lives.
• Prepare and review court filings.
• Strategize with co-counsel or colleagues.
• Attend court hearings.
• Build and maintain relationships with bankruptcy trustees, judges, and their staff.
• Learn bankruptcy codes and procedures.

Attorney Requirements:

• Admitted to practice in the State of Missouri and/or Kansas
• Self-motivated and possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently or with a team of attorneys and paralegals.
• Desire to help people and make a difference in individuals’ lives.
• Adaptability and attention to detail.
• Strong research and writing skills.
