Attorney

Lakey Villegas Law and Policy is currently seeking a motivated, detail-oriented associate attorney with 5 or more years of experience to join our growing team. The attorney will work in the firm’s diverse practice including civil litigation, contract law, and municipal law.

This is a full-time position with the opportunity to handle cases independently while also collaborating with multiple attorneys on complex and high-value matters.

Requirements include a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school, with the successful candidate being highly organized, proactive, and possessing excellent communication and time management skills. Responsibilities include managing case calendars and deadlines, drafting and proofreading legal documents, handling discovery, and assisting with trial preparation.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of prior experience in civil litigation with additional experience in criminal law, estate planning, or probate considered a strong plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat is required, and the ability to research on Westlaw.

Compensation is dependent on experience (DOE).
