Job Description

Wagstaff Law Firm is seeking an experienced Litigator to support our growing firm and assist with high-stakes personal injury cases in our Single Events department. This role would primarily focus on cases involving sexual assault and catastrophic personal injury, pursuing justice against businesses and institutions whose negligence has harmed our clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigating complex personal injury matters, particularly those involving sensitive subjects such as sexual abuse. This role requires a highly skilled professional who is self-directed, thrives under pressure, and possesses exceptional writing, research, and advocacy abilities.

You’ll work closely with Partners on trial prep, discovery, and expert coordination in a professional yet casual environment.

Essential Job Functions

• Manage a large docket of personal injury cases in multiple jurisdictions
• Draft complex legal memoranda, motions, and briefs
• Evaluate merits of new cases, including intake and initial strategy
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case theories
• Handle document review and analysis
• Draft and respond to written discovery
• Defend and take depositions, including of expert witnesses
• Prepare expert reports and assist with all aspects of trial preparation
• Correspond with opposing counsel and clients to advance litigation
• Support statute of limitation (SOL) tracking and case deadlines
• File documents in state and federal courts electronically
• Participate actively in trial teams and support trial presentation
• Perform other litigation tasks as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Colorado
• 5+ years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury or related civil litigation
• Must be comfortable handling sensitive matters such as sexual assault cases
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
• Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills
• Ability to work well under tight deadlines, manage multiple projects, and prioritize effectively
• Must be self-directed with a high degree of professionalism
• Court and deposition experience required
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Must be able to work overtime and travel as needed
• Maintain CLE credits as required by state licensing boards
• Ability to commute or relocate to Denver, CO preferred, but not required

Pay: $120,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
