Attorney

Minneapolis, United States

At Madia Law, we are trial lawyers for people facing the powerful.

Madia Law is a plaintiff-side civil rights law firm. We litigate cases involving: police misconduct, discrimination, wrongful death, whistleblower retaliation, and medical malpractice.

We are always looking for lawyers with excellent strategic thinking and legal writing skills to help us win our cases against large corporate and government opponents.

From day one, lawyers at our firm actively participate in building our cases from the ground level - there is no "grunt" work for new lawyers. Our lawyers work together to define our case strategy, interact with our clients, write correspondence, complaints, and legal briefs, and participate in jury trials. And we never stop learning and honing our skills.

We don't operate on a billable-hour model. Instead, we empower our lawyers to do what they need to do to help us win our cases - not what they need to do to meet an arbitrary hours requirement.

Candidates should be excellent at legal research, legal writing, and strategic thinking - with an appetite to learn and improve. A J.D. degree is required, and candidates should have a bar license (or imminent bar license) at start date. Clerkships or law review are preferred, but not required.

We are willing to be flexible for the right candidate. Compensation, hours (full-time or part-time), start date, and work location (home or office) are negotiable. Annual bonuses available based on individual and firm performance.
