Taylor Dahl & Associates Job Overview:

Our firm focuses on providing high-quality representation to clients, and we are looking to add another attorney to our team. The ideal candidate would have at least 2 years of relevant legal experience and be confident assuming responsibilities related to client representation.

Practice areas include the following:

• Family Law
• Business Law
• Real Estate
• Title & Escrow
• Estate Planning & Probate
• Personal Injury
• Criminal Defense

Family law is currently our largest practice area. We are open to adding or growing specific practice areas depending upon the applicant.

Our firm has 4 full-time attorneys and 5 support staff in a fun, fast-paced, and collegial work environment. You will have excellent support, systems, and mentorship available.

Duties:

• Conduct client meetings, including consultations and during cases
• Represent clients in various litigation and transactional matters
• Draft legal documents, including petitions, motions, briefs, orders, contracts, wills, trusts, deeds, etc.
• Appear in court and other proceedings
• Negotiate with opposing counsels
• Advise clients on rights and obligations
• Develop strategies for cases and clients
• Maintain successful relationships with clients, courts, staff, other attorneys, etc.
• Manage cases independently
• Collaborate with colleagues on complex matters
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may affect client cases

Requirements:

• Admitted to practice law in Tennessee (Kentucky is a plus)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Commitment to ethical and quality representation
• Knowledge of Tennessee Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence
• Proficient in legal research tools such as Westlaw or Lexis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail
• Self-motivated
• Organized
• Efficient
• Ability to work both independently and within an office team
