Circle Surrogacy (www.CircleSurrogacy.com) is a growing domestic and international gestational surrogacy and egg donation agency is looking for an Attorney to play an integral role assisting our legal team in providing services for intended parents, surrogates, and egg donors throughout their journey. Our attorney will draft contracts, review and analyze insurance contracts and policies, assist intended parents in establishing their legal parentage rights and learn and grow in an ever changing and niche field of law of assisted reproductive technology. Candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask and maintain a calm demeanor, have critical thinking and problem -solving skills, and an interest and/or experience in the field.
What you’ll do:
Legal research on topics related to assisted reproductive technology and legal issues impacting assisted reproductive technology and IP, surrogate, donor relationships.
Contract drafting and negotiating. Experience in gestational surrogacy or egg donation contracts preferred, but not a requirement.
Manage caseload of intended parents independently from initial client sign on through delivery of child and return home.
Work directly with clients and third parties, such as IVF Clinics and outside attorneys, as well as Circle’s social workers, program coordinators, and trust accountants.
Manage high email volume and prioritize important communications and respond within forty-eight (48) business hours.
Additional tasks as assigned, such as helping other teams with various projects, training, and insurance reviews and appeals.
What you’ll need to succeed:
Juris Doctorate, licensed in MA, NY, NJ, or Washington DC.
Effective communicator who articulates information clearly and adept at building trusting relationships.
Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with clients in emotional and/or high stress situations.
Strong time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, where you can meet and exceed deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Salesforce CRM.
Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment, where everyone thrives.
