Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated law student or recent law school graduate for our Attorney Internship program. This position offers hands-on experience in a dynamic legal environment and provides valuable exposure to various aspects of legal practice.


Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in a wide variety of commercial contracting, litigation, dispute resolution, and administrative law issues
  • Support the development and maintenance of consistent contracting practices throughout the Company
  • Assist in advising management regarding policy and procedure revisions based on changes in laws and regulations
  • Provide support in reviewing terms and conditions for proposals, sales contracts, and government contracts
  • Help ensure compliance with governmental regulations and industry standards
  • Assist in communicating legal issues and risks to executive management, including analysis of "cost to proceed vs. settlement" scenarios
  • Support routine and ad hoc reporting on significant legal issues and procedures
  • Assist in coordinating with other companies to ensure consistent terms and conditions for joint bids and agreements
  • Work with senior attorneys on outside counsel budget analysis and invoice monitoring
  • Conduct legal research
  • Draft and review contracts, legal memoranda, and correspondence
  • Maintain organized legal databases and contract management systems

Ideal qualifications

Required Qualifications


  • Currently enrolled in an accredited law school (2L or 3L preferred) OR recent law school graduate
  • Strong academic record with demonstrated interest in corporate law, contracts, and regulatory compliance
  • General understanding of business operations and commercial products/services
  • Ability to support contract negotiation processes while identifying potential risks
  • Demonstrated legal knowledge and analytical capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of internal and external staff, management, and clients
  • Proficiency in legal research methods and databases
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with confidential information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior corporate law internship or business experience
  • Relevant coursework (contracts, corporate law, compliance, government contracting)
  • Experience in contract review and risk analysis
  • Familiarity with FAR/DFARS/DEAR regulations
  • Knowledge of joint ventures and multi-party agreements
  • Participation in law review or business law journal
  • Business or finance background or coursework.
  • Experience working in regulated industries
  • Strong interest in the nuclear industry or other energy or environmental fields
