Attorney - Municipal/Land Use

Seeking a lawyer to join our small firm serving municipalities in the mid-Hudson Valley (Dutchess and Ulster Counties). Experience in municipal and/or land use law is necessary, and candidates must be admitted to practice law in New York State. Familiarity with real estate, administrative, or environmental law is also helpful.

Gordon & Svenson's focus is advising local officials on effective governance and innovation to improve their communities. We also work with planning and zoning boards to support sound land use decision-making. If that work interests you, please reach out for a conversation.

This position could take the form of an associate or counsel, and full- or part-time is possible. The position will be based in our downtown Poughkeepsie office with local travel to clients’ locations. The work schedule will include evening meetings.
