The Attorney will work collaboratively within a law office environment, utilizing tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw for effective case management.

Duties

  • Provide legal advice and representation in areas such as family law, landlord-tenant law, workers' compensation law, and securities law.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
  • Draft legal documents including contracts, pleadings, motions, and briefs with precision and clarity.
  • Engage in negotiations on behalf of clients to resolve disputes amicably whenever possible.
  • Represent clients in litigation proceedings, ensuring their rights are protected throughout the process.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, particularly in tribal law and regulations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of legal services provided by the firm.
  • Maintain organized records of case files and client communications.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar association and active license to practice law.
  • Proven experience in various areas of law including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, personal injury law, and litigation preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful outcomes for clients.
  • Proficient in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
  • Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in a legal administrative role is advantageous but not mandatory. This position offers an opportunity for professional growth within a supportive environment that values collaboration and excellence in legal practice.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $90,643.81 - $109,162.44 per year
