Key Responsibilities:
- Advise and represent clients in workers' compensation claims, including hearings and trials before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and trial briefs.
- Develop and implement discovery strategies and evaluate case merits to provide recommendations on settlement versus trial.
- Negotiate settlement agreements and handle case finalization in compliance with agreed terms.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of workers’ compensation laws and regulations in Florida.
- Collaborate with clients and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes while protecting client interests.
- Utilize case management and document review software for effective case handling.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in workers’ compensation defense preferred.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and work independently.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Pay: $90,211.15 - $108,641.38 per year
