The Wayne County Commissioners are currently accepting employment applications for the full-time position of Commissioners’ Administrative Counsel. Applicants must be licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio. This position will report to the County Administrator.This position will provide legal advice to all Commissioners’ offices and act as general counsel to the Board of Commissioners. The duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Research and advise the Wayne County Commissioners and staff on legal matters.Represent the Board in civil actions or proceedings.Draft and review all bids, legal contracts, grant documents, annexations, road vacation petitions, real estate transactions, and other documents to ensure compliance with all legal requirements.Coordinate with the County Prosecutor and outside counsel for the Board on matters requiring supplemental legal counsel.Handle Workers’ Compensation hearings and appeals.Oversee compliance with prevailing wage requirements.Supervise staff as directed.Experience with County contracts and bidding process preferred.Applicants must submit a required employment application (downloadable from
