Audio Engineer – Freelancer

This role is focused on providing expert audio engineering services for conferences and workshops, ensuring seamless sound system and simultaneous interpretation system setup, operation, and troubleshooting. The position requires on-site presence in Doha, Qatar, and involves managing all aspects of live sound delivery to guarantee clear, high-quality audio throughout each event. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency, reliability, and a commitment to supporting professional events with exceptional audio solutions.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and operate professional sound systems and simultaneous interpretation equipment for conferences and workshops
• Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal audio performance
• Manage live sound operations during events, including real-time adjustments and technical support
• Collaborate with event organizers and interpretation teams to meet specific audio requirements
• Maintain and monitor equipment throughout the event to prevent and resolve technical issues
• Provide on-site technical support for the full duration of each project in Doha, Qatar

• Proven experience as a sound technician or audio engineer for live events, conferences, or workshops
• Expertise in professional sound system installation, configuration, and operation
• Familiarity with simultaneous interpretation systems and their integration with event audio setups

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced event environment
