We are currently seeking a meticulous and dedicated Audio Transcriptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in converting our audio files, such as client consultations and project notes, into accurately written documents. This is a Full-Time position based in Dallas, Texas, United States.
Salary: $19 - $24 USD per hour
Responsibilities
- Listen to various audio recordings, including client meetings, design consultations, and on-site project dictations, and accurately transcribe the content into written format.
- Review and edit transcriptions for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and clarity, ensuring a high-quality final document.
- Format transcripts according to established company guidelines and templates.
- Organise and manage a high volume of audio and text files with a systematic approach.
- Collaborate with our landscape designers and project managers to clarify any ambiguities or technical terminology in the recordings.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
- Ensure all transcription assignments are completed within the agreed deadlines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a professional transcriptionist or in a similar role requiring high levels of listening and typing accuracy.
- Exceptional command of the English language, with outstanding grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
- Excellent typing speed with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong listening skills, with the ability to decipher different accents, dialects, and technical terminology.
- Proficiency in using transcription software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with terminology related to landscaping, design, or horticulture would be a distinct advantage but is not essential.
