We are launching The Content Lab, a state-of-the-art, high-tech audio/video studio located right next to our corporate office in Miramar Beach, Florida.The Content Lab is designed to solve a major pain point for local business owners: creating high-quality content efficiently. Clients book our studio for an hour, and we provide a full-service production experience across multiple professional sets (podcast, UGC, anchor desk, and interview). We then take that footage and turn it into a month's worth of high-converting ads.
The Role
We are seeking a talented, tech-savvy, and highly motivated Audio Video Engineer to run the day-to-day technical operations of The Content Lab. This is an incredible opportunity for a recent graduate with a passion for video production, broadcasting, and technical setup to take ownership of a brand-new, high-end studio environment.You will be the technical backbone of the studio, ensuring every client walks into a perfectly lit, flawlessly mic'd, and professionally managed environment. You will operate our multi-camera PTZ system, manage audio mixing, and ensure all recordings are captured at the highest quality for our post-production team.
Key Responsibilities
- Studio Operation and Management: Serve as the primary technical operator for all client shoots at The Content Lab.
- Multi-Camera Directing: Operate our 3-camera 4K PTZ system (FoMaKo) using the NDI-HX Joystick Controller to capture dynamic, multi-angle footage seamlessly.
- Audio Engineering: Manage the Zenolix RM66 Audio Mixer and four RODE broadcast microphones, ensuring crystal-clear, balanced audio for podcasts and interviews while eliminating background noise.
- Lighting Design: Set up and adjust Flashpoint LED Panel Lights and softboxes to create flattering, professional lighting for various skin tones and set designs.
- Set Preparation: Quickly transition the studio between our four distinct settings (Podcast, UGC, Anchor Desk, Interviewee) based on the client's booked package.
- Teleprompter Operation: Load scripts and operate the teleprompter system to help clients deliver their messages confidently.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain, troubleshoot, and organize all studio gear, ensuring everything is in perfect working order.
- Client Experience: Provide a welcoming, professional, and high-end experience for local business owners, helping them feel comfortable and confident on camera.
Qualifications
- Education: Recent graduate with a degree in Film/Video Production, Broadcasting, Audio Engineering, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of video production workflows, including camera operation, lighting techniques, and audio recording.
- Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with (or ability to quickly master) PTZ cameras, joystick controllers, audio mixers, and professional lighting setups.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and calmly under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills. You must be able to direct and coach clients who may not be comfortable on camera.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous eye for framing, lighting, and audio quality.
- Brand Alignment: Ability to represent the Powered by Zen brand with professionalism, energy, and a high-end aesthetic.
