Job Overview
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring all production equipment meets company standards for performance, reliability, and show readiness. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of our inventory by overseeing quality control processes, supporting repairs and RMA workflows, and verifying accuracy of outbound orders. In addition to hands-on responsibilities, this role is expected to build and develop a strong, reliable team focused on quality, ensuring that all gear is consistently prepped, tested, and delivered in the best possible condition. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically knowledgeable, and proactive in identifying and resolving issues before gear leaves the warehouse.
- Organize and manage audio, video, and production inventory.
- Clean, maintain, and ensure proper functioning of all equipment.
- Perform detailed QC checks on audio, video, camera, and general production gear before and after events.
- Test signal flow, connectivity, firmware, and operational readiness of equipment.
- Identify, document, and report damaged or missing gear.
- Prep and de-prep equipment for shows according to company standards.
- Keep the workspace clean, organized, and safe.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Monitor overall condition and lifecycle of inventory, identifying items in need of maintenance, repair, or replacement
- Assist in reviewing and verifying orders to ensure correct gear, quantities, and configurations are pulled and prepared
- Develop and improve QC processes, checklists, and standards to increase consistency and reduce errors
- Maintain clear documentation of QC results, repairs, and inventory status
- Help train team members on proper QC procedures and equipment handling best practices
- Support inventory audits and help investigate missing or damaged equipment
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of live audio, video, and camera equipment.
- Understanding of signal flow and common production gear connections is a plus.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in quality control and gear inspections.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment safely.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
