Job Summary:

The AV Technician is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio-visual equipment to ensure smooth operation of events and presentations. This role involves working closely with clients, event coordinators, and other team members to deliver high-quality AV services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and Setup:
• Install and set up audio-visual equipment, including but not limited to microphones, speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, audio mixing boards, lighting, pipe and drape, and truss.
• Ensure all equipment is properly configured and tested before events.
• Operation:
• Operate audio-visual equipment during events, ensuring smooth and seamless operation.
• Adjust audio levels, video settings, and lighting to suit the event's requirements.
• Maintenance:
• Perform regular maintenance on AV equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Troubleshoot and repair any issues that arise with AV equipment while in the field.
• Customer Service:
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their AV needs and provide technical support.
• Assist clients with AV presentations and provide guidance on the use of AV equipment.
• Inventory Management:
• Maintain and properly handle all AV equipment inventory and ensure all items are accounted for.
• Properly and safely handle equipment at all times during transport, set up, during events and during tear down

Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in the use of audio-visual equipment, including but not limited to microphones, speakers, video projectors, recording equipment, audio mixers, and lighting.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve technical issues.
• Knowledge of various AV software and control systems.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage time effectively.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry heavy AV equipment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends and holidays, depending on event schedules.

Education and Experience:

• Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification or degree in a related field (e.g., Audio Engineering, Electronics) preferred.
• Experience:
• Previous experience working with audio-visual equipment in a professional setting.
• Experience in live event production or a similar field is advantageous.

Work Environment:

The AV Technician will work in various environments, including conference centers, hotels, educational institutions, and outdoor venues and warehouses. The role may require travel to different locations and the ability to work in various conditions, including standing for long periods and handling equipment in different weather conditions.The role may require working outside of regular business hours to meet deadlines, interface with clients or attend events.

Compensation and Benefits:
