We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Audiology Assistant (AAA) to join our dynamic team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone interested in healthcare, technology, hearing health, and direct patient interaction. The position offers valuable clinical experience working alongside experienced audiologists in a fast-paced specialty environment.
Position Overview
The Audiology Assistant plays a critical role in supporting audiologists with patient care, hearing aid services, vestibular support, clinical documentation, and daily operations. This individual helps improve clinic efficiency, enhance the patient experience, and ensure smooth clinical flow throughout the day.
The ideal candidate is organized, professional, technologically confident, and passionate about delivering outstanding patient care to individuals of all ages, including pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Room patients, obtain medical history, and prepare patients for provider visits
- Assist audiologists with patient assessments and hearing healthcare services
- Support hearing aid fittings, troubleshooting, programming support, routine checks, and repairs
- Educate patients on hearing aid use, maintenance, cleaning, and connectivity features
- Perform post-fitting follow-up calls and coordinate ongoing patient care
- Assist with vestibular/balance testing setup and room turnover
- Maintain and calibrate audiology equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Document patient information accurately using medical terminology and ICD coding
- Maintain clinic inventory and order clinical supplies as needed
- Assist with scheduling, patient records, and front desk support when necessary
- Support compliance with patient privacy standards and healthcare regulations
- Help create a welcoming, efficient, and compassionate patient experience
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; healthcare or audiology experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Comfortable working with medical equipment and technology
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and patient care processes preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with pediatric and adult patients
- Prior experience in audiology, ENT, hearing aid, or specialty medical practices is a plus
- Demonstrated interest in hearing healthcare or audiology as a career path preferred
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
