Audiology Assistant / Oto Tech

Duties

• Maintaining audiology patient schedule
• Verify hearing benefits with insurance companies
• Assist in preparing hearing aid billing
• Hearing aid and supply ordering
• Data entry and tracking utilizing CounselEar software
• Perform troubleshooting, minor HA repairs as well as clean and checks
• Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, phone calls, faxing, scanning, updating patient information, and processing intake forms

Experience

• Prior experience or familiarity with audiology preferred.
• Experience in patient service roles demonstrating excellent communication skills and empathy
• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of ICD coding practices for accurate documentation and billing processes
• Must be able to multi-task, while maintaining attention to detail
• A proactive learner eager to expand expertise in audiology, anatomy, and healthcare procedures

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
