Job Purpose
The Audiology Registrar (Physician) is responsible for diagnosing and managing patients with hearing and balance disorders. This role involves performing advanced audiological assessments, assisting consultants, and contributing to patient-centered care while supporting departmental education and quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations, including pure tone audiometry, tympanometry, speech audiometry, and otoacoustic emissions.

Diagnose hearing and vestibular disorders and develop appropriate treatment plans.

Prescribe and manage hearing aids, cochlear implants, and other assistive devices.

Provide medical counseling and education to patients and families regarding hearing health and rehabilitation options.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for complex cases.

Participate in departmental teaching and training programs for interns and junior staff.

Contribute to quality improvement and research activities within the audiology service.

Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with clinical standards.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the department head.
Requirements
Education:

Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.

Completion of internship and residency in Audiology.

Master’s degree in Audiology or related specialty is required.
Experience:

Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience in audiology.
Licensing & Certifications:
-
Valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties license as Audiology Registrar.
