Job Summary
The Audit Accountant will be responsible for reviewing financial records, monitoring internal controls, and ensuring compliance with UAE accounting standards and tax regulations within a restaurant operation. The role focuses heavily on cost control, revenue accuracy, VAT compliance, and fraud prevention—critical in F&B businesses where cash flow moves fast.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct internal audits of restaurant financial operations
- Verify daily sales reports, POS data, cash collections, and bank reconciliations
- Monitor food cost, inventory usage, wastage, and variances
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and proper documentation
- Review supplier invoices, expenses, and payment controls
- Identify financial discrepancies, leakages, or control weaknesses
- Prepare audit reports and submit findings to management
- Support external audits and regulatory inspections when required
- Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Auditing
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience, preferably in restaurant or F&B industry
- Knowledge of UAE VAT laws and basic tax compliance
- Experience with POS systems and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work long hours in a fast-paced environment
