Audit and Tax Intern

About the Role:

MAANU Venture is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Audit and Tax Intern to support our internal audit, taxation, and financial compliance functions. This is an exciting opportunity for students or recent graduates of accounting, finance, or related disciplines to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and review of income tax and sales tax returns
• Support external and internal audit assignments
• Conduct vouching, data analysis, and record verification
• Assist in maintaining audit working papers and documentation
• Perform reconciliations and support ledger scrutiny
• Participate in fieldwork and client coordination where needed
• Research tax laws and regulations as guided by the team

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (in-progress or completed) in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
• Basic knowledge of tax regulations in Pakistan (FBR/SRB preferred)
• Proficiency in MS Excel & Word
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity
• Eager to learn and adapt in a professional environment
