Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Authority Engineer to serve as the technical decision-maker and subject matter expert within our engineering organization. You will hold and enforce engineering standards, provide binding technical rulings, and ensure all designs, modifications, and deviations meet regulatory, safety, and quality requirements. This is a leadership role with real authority — your sign-off matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate all authority approvals, permits, and NOCs with government entities
• Submit and follow up on construction-related applications to municipalities, Civil Defense, utilities, and other authorities
• Review drawings and documents to ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and authority requirements
• Liaise with consultants, engineers, and project teams to resolve authority comments and approvals
• Track all submissions and ensure timely closure of approvals to avoid project delays
• Attend authority inspections, site visits, and coordination meetings
• Maintain proper records of all authority correspondence, approvals, and documentation 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in authority approvals within the UAE construction industry
• Strong knowledge of local authority regulations, procedures, and building codes
• Proven experience dealing with government authorities and regulatory bodies
• Strong communication, coordination, and follow-up skills
• Must have construction field experience
