Auto Body Helper

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Auto Body Helper to join our dynamic automotive repair team. In this role, you will assist skilled technicians in performing a variety of auto body repair tasks, ensuring vehicles are restored to their optimal condition with precision and care. Duties

• Assist with auto body repairs, including sanding, masking, and prepping vehicles for painting or finishing
• Support technicians with sheet metal work, welding (including MIG welding), soldering, and fabrication tasks
• Handle heavy lifting and move parts or equipment safely around the shop
• Use hand tools and power tools for various repair tasks, ensuring quality workmanship
• Aid in auto glass replacement, auto painting, and airless paint spraying processes
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure proper storage of tools and materials
• Contribute to vehicle detailing, assembly, and auto restoration projects as needed
• Support vehicle maintenance activities such as mechanical checks and minor repairs to ensure safety and functionality
• Assist with auto estimating documentation by providing accurate details on repairs performed

Experience

• Previous dealership experience or background in automotive repair is highly preferred
• Hands-on experience with auto body repair techniques including sheet metal work, welding (MIG welding), soldering, and fabrication
• Knowledge of automotive systems, mechanical components, and vehicle maintenance practices
• Familiarity with auto painting techniques such as airless paint spraying and auto finishing processes
• Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for auto repair tasks
• Experience working with auto glass replacement or auto restoration projects is a plus
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent attention to detail and safety awareness
• Customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with clients during the repair process

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
