Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Auto Body Parts Manager to lead our parts department with enthusiasm and precision. Responsibilities
- Manage the entire auto body parts inventory, including ordering, stocking, and tracking parts using ERP systems and order management software.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with OEM suppliers and vendors to ensure timely sourcing of quality parts at competitive prices.
- Coordinate with automotive service teams to accurately identify parts requirements using automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge.
- Oversee warehouse operations, including shipping & receiving, inventory control, and equipment repair, ensuring safety standards are met.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools for maintenance scheduling and inventory tracking to optimize warehouse efficiency.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to maximize value while maintaining high service levels.
- Lead procurement management efforts by analyzing demand planning data, forecasting needs, and managing purchase orders for auto body parts.
- Supervise staff involved in sourcing, order processing, data entry, and customer service to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Implement logistics strategies for shipping & receiving processes that improve turnaround times and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with dealership standards and automotive repair specifications while maintaining accurate records for all transactions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supply chain management within the automotive or auto body industry, preferably with dealership experience.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, OEM parts sourcing, and auto body repair processes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, inventory management software (such as AS400), and order management systems.
- Hands-on warehouse experience including forklift operation certification is highly desirable.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of managing supplier relationships effectively.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with data entry proficiency to accurately manage inventory records.
- Ability to coordinate logistics operations efficiently while maintaining high customer service standards.
