Auto Body Shop Helper / Detailer

Colorado Autobody & Reconditioning Specialists, a collision repair shop serving the Grand Junction area for more than 22 years, is seeking a motivated and experienced Detailer / Shop Helper with a strong eye for detail.

The qualified candidate must be willing to spend extended periods on their feet and take pride in ensuring that all evidence of repair work is removed from both the interior and exterior of vehicles. This position also involves assisting the shop with a variety of duties to support daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver vehicles to customers and clients.
• Detail vehicle interiors and exteriors.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop by sweeping floors, cleaning work areas, and emptying trash.
• Verify parts against repair estimates and ensure all received parts are correct.
• Mask, prep, prime, block, buff, and polish vehicles.
• Assist technicians with parts fitment and other shop needs.
• Thoroughly inspect repairs to ensure all blends are properly buffed and polished.
• Communicate effectively with technicians regarding completed repairs.
• Accurately complete pre-delivery inspection checklists.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, and lift as needed throughout the workday.
• Previous experience working in auto body repair or vehicle detailing.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Minimum of 2 years of auto body and/or detailing experience.
