Auto Body Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Auto Body Technician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive auto body repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, and alignment adjustments using hand tools and power tools.
• Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and other welding techniques to repair sheet metal and structural components.
• Conduct auto painting using airless paint spraying equipment to achieve a smooth, professional finish.
• Replace and install auto glass, ensuring proper sealing and fitment for safety and aesthetics.
• Fabricate custom parts or modifications using sheet metal fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs.
• Maintain mechanical knowledge to assist with vehicle maintenance tasks and minor mechanical repairs when necessary.
• Detail vehicles post-repair, including sanding, polishing, and cleaning to ensure a high-quality finish that exceeds customer expectations.
• Use auto estimating software to assess damages accurately and communicate repair scopes effectively with customers.
• Assist in auto restoration projects by restoring vintage or damaged vehicles to their original condition with attention to detail.
• Operate heavy lifting equipment safely for moving large parts or vehicles within the shop environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician or similar role within a dealership or independent shop setting.
• Strong proficiency in auto body repair techniques including auto painting, sanding, dent removal, and panel replacement.
• Skilled in MIG welding, soldering, fabrication, and working with sheet metal materials.
• Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems for effective vehicle diagnosis and minor repairs.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, auto glass installation, and auto estimating software is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repair processes and timelines.
