Auto Body Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will have experience in auto body repair, auto painting, and fabrication, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing advanced tools and techniques to restore vehicles to their original condition. Experience with dealership repairs, auto restoration, and customer service is highly valued. The successful candidate will demonstrate mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to perform heavy lifting safely.

Duties

• Repair and restore vehicle bodies using various techniques including welding, soldering, and sheet metal work.
• Perform auto body repairs such as dent removal, panel replacement, and alignment adjustments.
• Conduct auto painting using airless paint spraying equipment to achieve a smooth finish.
• Replace or repair auto glass and perform detailing to ensure a polished appearance.
• Fabricate parts or panels as needed using MIG welding, welding, and other fabrication methods.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for vehicle repair tasks.
• Assist with vehicle maintenance and auto restoration projects to meet customer specifications.
• Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and quality expectations while adhering to dealership or shop guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following safety protocols at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively about repair processes and timelines.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician or similar role; dealership experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in MIG welding, welding, soldering, and sheet metal fabrication.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair and vehicle maintenance.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, auto painting equipment, and auto glass installation tools.
• Knowledge of auto estimating procedures is desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with auto restoration projects and automotive repair techniques including auto painting and airless paint spraying.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
• Good customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about repairs.

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
