Duties

• Inspect damaged vehicles thoroughly to determine the scope of repairs needed, including auto body repair, dent removal, and structural realignment
• Perform automotive welding repair using MIG welding techniques, soldering, and automotive welding equipment to restore vehicle frames and panels
• Fabricate and shape sheet metal components utilizing fabrication repair techniques, hand tools, power tools, and sanding tools for precise fitting and finishing
• Install automotive parts such as auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with attention to detail and safety standards
• Utilize auto estimating software to assess repair costs accurately and communicate effectively with customers about the repair process
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols during heavy lifting, welding, sanding, and assembly tasks

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar auto restoration or collision repair role
• Dealership experience is highly desirable but not mandatory; candidates with mechanic experience are encouraged to apply
• Skilled in MIG welding, welding repair, soldering, and fabrication techniques with automotive welding equipment
• Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, parts installation, and automotive structural repair methods
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, auto painting equipment, and detailing supplies
• Knowledge of auto body repair processes including automotive cosmetic repair and automotive body refinishing
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repairs and estimates
