Auto Damage Appraiser

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Auto Damage Appraiser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing vehicle damages, estimating repair costs, and providing transparent evaluations to facilitate fair claims processing. Your expertise will help ensure that customers receive prompt, fair, and professional service while maintaining the integrity of our claims operations. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to determine the extent of auto body and mechanical repairs needed.
• Prepare detailed auto damage estimates using industry-standard auto estimating software, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate effectively with customers and insurance adjusters to explain damage assessments and negotiate repair costs.
• Review repair estimates for compliance with company policies, underwriting guidelines, and industry standards.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of damage assessments, estimates, and communication logs for audit purposes.
• Stay updated on the latest automotive repair techniques, auto body repair standards, and industry regulations to ensure expert evaluations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in auto estimating, auto service management, or related roles within automotive repair or insurance industries.
• Strong auto body repair knowledge combined with mechanical knowledge.
• Excellent analysis skills to evaluate vehicle damages accurately and efficiently.
• Skilled in negotiation with customers, and insurance representatives to reach fair resolutions.
• Familiarity with auto estimating software and service writing tools used in the industry. ccc one and mitchell connect
