Position Overview

Fleet Reconditioning Services is seeking a highly motivated, Automotive Technician to join our growing team.

This role is ideal for someone eager to start their journey in the automotive industry, learn multiple skills, and work with a team that values hard work, reliability, and craftsmanship.

In this multi-faceted position, you will assist with:

• Auto Detailing
• Auto body preparation
• Transporting vehicles between facilities or job sites

You’ll work closely with experienced technicians while learning valuable skills in vehicle reconditioning, fleet maintenance, and automotive appearance repair.

Responsibilities

Auto Detailing

• Wash, prep, detail/polish vehicle exterior
• Detail and clean vehicle interior
• Detail engine bay compartments
• Maintain professional presentation of vehicles prior to return to fleet clients

Auto Body Prep / Reconditioning Support

• Assist technicians with minor cosmetic repairs
• Prepare vehicle panels for paint or repair processes
• Perform sanding, masking, and surface preparation
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Removal and replacement/installation of vehicle molding/trim/accessory parts

Vehicle Courier Duties

• Safely transport vehicles between work locations, job sites, and fleet facilities
• Conduct basic vehicle inspections before and after transport
• Coordinate with operations team for vehicle movement and scheduling

General Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and company standards
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces
• Represent FRS professionally when interacting with clients
• Work collaboratively with technicians and operations staff

Minimum Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual vehicles preferred
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions
• Must be at least 18 years old

No prior automotive experience required (but preferred) — we are willing to train motivated individuals.

Compensation & BenefitsPay

• Hourly Pay: $18 – $25 per hour (based on experience)
• Full-time schedule
