Job Overview

Duties

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic equipment to identify issues accurately.
• Repair and maintain various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, powertrain systems, suspension, brakes, steering, and electrical systems.
• Conduct diesel engine repairs and service GM vehicles with precision and attention to detail.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to execute repairs efficiently.
• Perform wheel alignments and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations to ensure vehicle safety features function correctly.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair guides to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.
• Complete vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake replacements, and routine inspections while maintaining high standards of quality control.
• Assist with auto body repairs when necessary and support vehicle maintenance projects that enhance overall vehicle safety and performance.
• Deliver excellent customer service by communicating repair findings clearly and providing professional recommendations for ongoing vehicle care.

Experience

• Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair across diverse vehicle makes and models.
• Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer-specific systems like GM vehicles.
• Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and software for efficient troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics reading, and electronic component testing.
• Skilled in diesel engine repair with the ability to handle complex powertrain issues confidently.
• Experience working with ADAS calibration, alignment procedures, welding techniques, and auto body repair is advantageous.
• Mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and maintenance machinery.
• Excellent understanding of automotive service standards along with a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Strong customer service skills combined with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients or team members.
