Join our dynamic used auto dealership as an Auto Parts Buyer and Coordinator, where you'll play a vital role in sourcing, purchasing, and managing auto parts to ensure our inventory is stocked efficiently and cost-effectively. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with suppliers, coordinate logistics, and support our automotive service operations. Your expertise will help streamline our supply chain processes, optimize inventory levels, and deliver exceptional customer service to our clients.
Duties
- Source and procure high-quality auto parts from mostly aftermarket suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and reliable delivery
- Manage supplier relationships to negotiate terms, prices, and lead times that benefit the dealership’s operational needs
- Oversee inventory control through accurate data entry and order management systems, maintaining optimal stock levels for used auto parts
- Coordinate shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities to ensure timely availability of parts for repair and sales
- Utilize automotive diagnostics knowledge to verify part compatibility and quality before purchase or distribution
- Maintain detailed records of procurement activities using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools
- Coordinate sub contractor work flow
- Organize parts bins for specific vehicle repair jobs
Requirements
- Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement management, or automotive parts purchasing within a dealership or automotive repair environment
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to establish mutually beneficial supplier agreements
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems, auto body repair, HVAC systems, and equipment repair is highly desirable
- Familiarity with inventory management software such as Mitchell, All Data or similar patforms
- Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping and inventory control
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics and OEM specifications to ensure proper sourcing of parts
- Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and suppliers

Pay: $51,432.17 - $67,961.33 per year
