Auto Repair Advisor

Compensation:

$65,000 - $85,000


Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the service department schedule and slot appointments for vehicle repairs
  • Relay relevant automotive technology and product knowledge to explain necessary repairs to customers scheduling service appointments
  • Work with the dealership auto service porter to ensure vehicles are ready for customer pick-up
  • Appropriately file all automotive documents such as maintenance records, invoices, repair orders, and more
  • Review and verify vehicle warranty protections and service contract coverage when developing cost estimates, work orders, and other paperwork related to necessary repairs
  • Performing repair work to customer vehicles to pre-loss condition and accurately following Yach’s work order, along with diagnosing and reporting any additional damage not on the work order.
  • Ensuring excellent repairs by following O.E.M. specifications.
  • Receive continuous training and certification through I-CAR and similar organizations.
  • Meeting production goals set by management
  • Maintaining a clean work area at all times to ensure the cleanliness of customer vehicles, along with providing a professional image of our facility. Properly dispose of hazardous chemicals.
  • Accurately punching in on the time clock during repairs to enable accurate job monitoring and efficiency.
  • Wearing proper safety equipment at all times

Qualifications:
  • Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Possess a valid, state-issued driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Prior experience in a service advisor role not required but is highly preferred
  • Stellar communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are needed
  • Must have problem-solving and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other fundamental programs
  • 5+ years of collision repair experience; higher performer. The top performer can earn up to $100k plus.
  • Ability to demonstrate and properly complete light to heavy repairs (bodywork, welding, structural work preferred)
  • Familiarity with I-CAR training and/or certifications from similar organizations (I-CAR Platinum certification preferred)
  • Experience in completing repairs by following O.E.M. specifications
  • Ability to work as an individual and as a team
  • Possesses a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to do what it takes to achieve production goals

  • Ability to multitask and adapt easily to a fast-paced environment
  • Auto body painting experience is a plus
