Job Title: Auto Mechanic 2
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Is responsible for inspecting and testing vehicles following Commercial Tire and manufacturer standards, completing diagnostics and repairs such as alignments, steering and suspension diagnostics and repair, brake inspection and replacement, a/c system diagnostics and repair.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Completed vehicle inspection every time and communicates to the front counter the items that may need to be repaired.

Consistently Inspect and recommend needed repairs and/or services using the vehicles inspection report.

Proper completion of Vehicle Inspection Report

Able to perform the following according to manufactures specifications:

Vehicle alignments according to manufacturer’s specifications
-
Performs vehicle fluid exchanges.

Able to diagnose, repair and replace Brake components.
-
Oil Changes / Air Filters
-
Diagnose, service, and repair A/C systems.
-
Service customer vehicles according to Commercial Tire guidelines.
-
Correctly completing Commercial Tire VIR inspection and documentation processes.
-
Changing, repairing, and replacing tires ensures proper torqueing on all jobs.

Recommend products and services when needed.

Able to quote repairs.
-
Maintain a clean and neat work area.

Support and track purchasing and returns.
-
Supports company safety and operational standards and adheres to all audit requirements.

Completed all necessary training and maintains certifications (or equivalent i.e., Ford).

ASE Training A4 – Steering and Suspension
-
ASE Training A5 – Brakes
-
ASE Training A7 – Heating & Air Conditioning
-
609 AC certification is required for air conditioning service repair
-
Completes jobs in a timely manner and communicates when there are items that will take longer.

Assist with phones, front counter, tire, and lube shops, etc.

Other duties as assigned.
