Responsibilities
- Review auto repair shop claims to verify coverage, damages, and repair estimates with precision and clarity
- Negotiate effectively with repair shops, customers, and insurance adjusters to reach fair and timely resolutions
- Analyze vehicle damage reports and auto estimating data to determine accurate claim values
- Coordinate with auto body repair technicians and mechanics to understand repair scopes and timelines
- Manage service writing processes by documenting claim details clearly in our systems
- Conduct thorough analysis of automotive repair estimates, underwriting information, and restoration needs
- Facilitate communication between all stakeholders to ensure smooth claims flow and customer satisfaction
- Maintain detailed records of all claim activities, negotiations, and approvals for compliance and review purposes
Experience will train everything below
- negotiation within an insurance or automotive environment
- mechanical knowledge of automotive systems, auto body repair techniques, and restoration processes
- underwriting principles related to auto insurance claims
- auto estimating tools and auto service management software
- Knowledge of automotive service procedures including collision repair, mechanical repairs, and auto restoration projects
- Excellent analysis skills to evaluate damage reports, repair estimates, and policy coverage details
- writing or automotive service management is highly desirable
