AutoCAD Designer

Job Summary:

The Solar Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, drafting, and preparing detailed drawings for solar power systems using AutoCAD. The candidate should have solid technical knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical layouts, and structural design aspects for rooftop and ground-mounted installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare solar PV system layouts, single line diagrams (SLD), and cable routing plans using AutoCAD.
• Perform site analysis and develop design proposals based on roof/land measurements.
• Create shadow analysis, string design, and panel mounting structure drawings.
• Coordinate with the project execution and sales teams to ensure design feasibility.
• Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and technical documentation for tenders and projects.
• Assist in load calculations, inverter sizing, and energy yield estimation.
• Revise and update drawings as per client or site requirements.
• Ensure compliance with MNRE, IEC, and electrical safety standards.
• Maintain a record of all design versions and project documentation.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) – mandatory.
• Good knowledge of solar PV design concepts, electrical layouts, and structural drawings.
• Familiar with PV Syst / Helioscope / SketchUp (added advantage).
• Strong attention to detail and design accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Good communication and coordination skills with project teams.

Qualification & Experience:

• Diploma / BE in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Energy Engineering.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in Solar PV system design using AutoCAD.

Ambattur, Chennai

Working Days:

Monday to Saturday

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
