AutoCAD Drafter / Purchaser – Plumbing Systems

Overview
We are a leading plumbing company seeking a skilled AutoCAD Drafter/Purchaser AutoCADto join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of producing precise technical drawings while also assisting with material procurement.

The position combines AutoCAD drafting with purchasing responsibilities, making it a great fit for someone who understands both the technical and logistical sides of plumbing projects.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate and detailed AutoCAD drawings for plumbing systems based on preliminary concepts, sketches, and project notes
• Prepare layout drawings, schematics, and construction details for plumbing installations
• Review blueprints, specifications, and project documentation to produce accurate drafts
• Revise and update drawings as projects evolve
• Work closely with the project team to ensure drawings meet project requirements and specifications
• Source, price, and purchase plumbing materials and equipment
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Track orders, maintain purchasing records, and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain organized drawing files and documentation

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (required)
• Solid understanding of drafting principles and construction drawings
• Experience with purchasing, procurement, or material coordination preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong reading comprehension and ability to interpret technical documents and plans
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is helpful
