Looking to fill an AutoCAD position with a high energy, results oriented, highly competitive, well established and expanding Southern California market. WCC Technologies Group specializes in: Information Technology Systems (ITS), Audio-visual and Security systems; as well as Structured Cabling turn-key Solutions (Design, Installation and Support).

Responsibilities

• Meeting / Communicating with Design Stakeholders: Project Managers, Customers, and Engineers to discuss design ideas.
• Developing product designs from scratch.
• Presenting rough design drafts for client approval.
• Ensuring product designs meet required safety and structural standards.
• Generating Solid and Surface CAD models using AutoCAD software.
• Blending technique and aesthetics to create final designs.
• Presenting various design perspectives for construction improvements and adaptations.
• Finalizing AutoCAD models.
• Presenting models to stakeholders.
• Completing job reports.
• Provide consultation on planning (schedules, manpower needs, materials, etc.)

Qualifications:

• Understanding of telecommunications/technology/IT infrastructure industries is a Plus
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Ability to craft a well written email
• Ability to multi-task
• Deadline and detail-oriented

Requirements:

• Previous work experience as an AutoCAD drafter.
• Advanced knowledge of CAD and AutoCAD software.
• Advanced knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering, and architecture.
• Knowledge of state safety and structure regulations.
• Excellent technical design skills.
• Good communication skills.
• A keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and designs drawings.
• Ability to project manage is a plus but not required.
• Proficient in other relevant software (MS Office and Applications, Quickbooks, etc)
• Outstanding communication and artistic abilities
• Thoroughness and reliability
• Excellent organizational skills
• BSc/BA in engineering, construction science or relevant discipline is a plus
