AutoCAD Drafter / Designer – Steel Fabrication

U. S. Metal Works, Inc. - Sandy, Oregon

We are seeking the ideal candidate to generate drawings and details for shop fabricated steel and structural steel products and machinery at our Sandy, Oregon location. This position works closely with our Engineering Manager and Shop Foreman.

Qualifications

Highly proficiency with AutoCAD LT and Microsoft Excel

1 year minimum SOLIDWORKS experience (preferred)

Strong communication skills required - Must be able to work independently and within a team.

Excellent organization and math skills.

Ability to produce accurate, detailed, and scale drawings for shop fabrication

Handle project from design concept to communicating with fabricators on shop floor.

Familiarity with steel fabrication processes and industrial applications of fabricated equipment, including knowledge of steel materials and shapes (optional, but preferred)
