Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman/AutoCAD Technician to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing precise technical drawings and layout plans for custom stainless steel kitchen equipment used in commercial kitchens across the UAE and GCC. This role requires close collaboration with engineers, production teams, and project managers to ensure designs meet functional, aesthetic, and fabrication standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for stainless steel kitchen equipment including sinks, tables, hoods, cabinets, shelving, and cooking ranges
• Interpret architectural and mechanical plans to develop fabrication-ready shop drawings
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable
• Modify existing drawings based on client feedback, site conditions, or production constraints
• Maintain organized drawing files and documentation for each project
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, hygiene regulations, and safety codes
• Participate in site visits for measurements and layout verification when required
• Coordinate with procurement and fabrication departments to ensure material compatibility and accuracy

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or degree in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D essential, 3D preferred); knowledge of SolidWorks or similar software is a plus
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in metal fabrication or kitchen equipment design
• Strong understanding of stainless steel properties, sheet metal work, and fabrication techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Attention to detail and commitment to precision
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in commercial kitchen layouts and workflow optimization
• Familiarity with UAE/GCC hygiene and safety standards for food service equipment
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
