- Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings of aluminum components and assemblies for architectural and industrial applications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret design requirements, providing technical expertise and suggesting design improvements.
- Create and modify shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings, incorporating necessary dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.
- Perform calculations for material quantities, dimensions, and other technical aspects, ensuring efficient material usage and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct thorough reviews of drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards and building codes.
- Manage and maintain drawing revisions, ensuring that all project stakeholders have access to the most up-to-date documentation.
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams to resolve any design-related issues and provide technical support during the fabrication process.
- Stay updated on the latest AutoCAD software updates, industry trends, and aluminum fabrication techniques to enhance drafting skills.
- Prepare bill of materials (BOMs) and parts lists, ensuring accurate and detailed information for procurement and manufacturing.
- Participate in project meetings, providing regular updates on drafting progress and proactively addressing any potential challenges.
