Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical AutoCAD Draftsman with expertise in Medium Voltage (MV), Low Voltage (LV), and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems for large-scale construction projects. The candidate must also be proficient in Microsoft Office tools for documentation, reporting, and presentations.

Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for:

• MV systems (transformer rooms, RMUs, switchgear layouts, MV SLD).

• LV systems (power distribution, panel board schedules, SLDs).

• ELV systems (fire alarm, CCTV, access control, BMS, IPTV, data/telecom).

Translate engineers’ design input into clear, professional CAD drawings.

Ensure coordination between electrical and other disciplines (MEP, architectural, structural).

Prepare and update cable routing plans, riser diagrams, and containment layouts.

Generate and maintain cable schedules, BOQs, and panel schedules using Excel.

Assist in preparing technical submittals, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.

Prepare documentation and PowerPoint presentations for meetings.

Ensure drawings comply with SBC, SEC regulations, and international standards (IEC, BS, NFPA).

Support project engineers in documentation control and submittals via platforms like Aconex or Procore.

Requirements

Diploma or Technical Certification in Electrical Engineering or Drafting.

3–5 years of experience as an Electrical Draftsman in building construction projects (preferably in Saudi Arabia or GCC).

Proficiency in AutoCAD (latest versions); knowledge of Revit MEP or BIM tools is an advantage.

Strong knowledge of MV/LV/ELV design practices and drafting standards.

Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specs, and site instructions.

Familiarity with SEC standards and local authority requirements.

Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

High attention to detail and multitasking ability.

Preferred

Experience with residential compounds, high-rise towers, hospitals, or malls.

Exposure to design & build or EPC contracts.

Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
