Job Summary:

We are looking for a Draughtsman with a strong background in civil engineering design and proficiency in AutoCAD to join the Aluminum Formwork Department at Cosmos Construction. This role is perfect for individuals with experience in civil engineering drafting who are eager to transition into formwork design. The candidate will be responsible for creating precise drawings for formwork systems, while receiving guidance and training on specific aluminum formwork techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed AutoCAD drawings for formwork layouts based on architectural and structural inputs.
• Assist in the development of modulation drawings for dividing structural components into reusable modular parts for formwork systems.
• Design formwork layouts for various structural elements such as walls, slabs, columns, beams, staircases, and decks.
• Generate panel numbering, marking plans, and assembly/erection drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure design feasibility, compliance with safety standards, and alignment with site requirements.
• Revise and update drawings based on feedback from site teams, engineers, or clients.
• Work with the production and site teams to ensure smooth on-site implementation of designs.
• Develop material take-offs (MTO) and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for formwork materials.
• Maintain quality and accuracy in all drawings and ensure that design deadlines are met.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and Autocad for civil engineering and construction-related design.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering design principles, including structural and architectural layouts.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to formwork design for construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, structural drawings, and architectural layouts.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing construction drawings.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage time efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Drafting Technology.
• 1.5 to 3 years of relevant experience in civil engineering design, preferably with exposure to AutoCAD drafting.
• Familiarity with construction industry standards and drafting conventions.
• Willingness to learn and work with aluminum formwork systems.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
