Position Overview

The Automation and Controls Engineer II is a key member of the plant leadership team, responsible for managing and improving electrical systems and automation processes within the plant. This position plays a vital role in ensuring operational efficiency, reliability, and continuous improvement through automation and control solutions.

This is a newer role. The selected candidate will work closely with another Electrical & Controls Engineer as well as the Process Engineer to oversee and enhance plant infrastructure integrating electrical and operational systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead automation and control system initiatives to improve plant performance and reliability.
  • Design, implement, and maintain PLC, HMI, and control systems within a manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify and execute process improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and control system issues, including both low- and high-voltage components.
  • Support new equipment installations, upgrades, and process optimizations.
  • Contribute to planning and executing plant projects, ensuring alignment with growth and migration objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (required).
  • Proven experience with PLC, Automation, and HMI systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including both low- and high-voltage components.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
