Job Description – Automation Engineer
The Automation Engineer – Fuel Automation & Instrumentation will be responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fuel automation, instrumentation, electrical, and networking systems to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations at assigned sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Fuel Automation Systems, including Automatic Tank Gauging (ATG), flowmeters, tank gauges, and dispenser interfaces.
- Perform electrical and instrumentation maintenance as per site requirements and safety standards.
- Execute field commissioning and calibration of automation and instrumentation equipment.
- Carry out preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and minimize downtime.
- Attend and resolve corrective maintenance and breakdown calls within defined timelines.
- Diagnose faults and troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, and field devices.
- Handle networking activities including cabling, connectivity checks, and communication troubleshooting between devices.
- Coordinate with project engineers, site personnel, and BPCL representatives for smooth execution of tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, SOPs, and BPCL guidelines.
- Maintain service reports, calibration records, and maintenance documentation.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of fuel automation and instrumentation systems.
- Hands-on experience with electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Basic understanding of networking and communication systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Strict adherence to safety and operational standards.
Educational Qualification & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical
- Instrumentation
- Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.
- Prior experience in fuel automation systems or oil & gas projects will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per year
