Job Description – Automation Engineer

The Automation Engineer – Fuel Automation & Instrumentation will be responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fuel automation, instrumentation, electrical, and networking systems to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations at assigned sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Fuel Automation Systems, including Automatic Tank Gauging (ATG), flowmeters, tank gauges, and dispenser interfaces.
• Perform electrical and instrumentation maintenance as per site requirements and safety standards.
• Execute field commissioning and calibration of automation and instrumentation equipment.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and minimize downtime.
• Attend and resolve corrective maintenance and breakdown calls within defined timelines.
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, and field devices.
• Handle networking activities including cabling, connectivity checks, and communication troubleshooting between devices.
• Coordinate with project engineers, site personnel, and BPCL representatives for smooth execution of tasks.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, SOPs, and BPCL guidelines.
• Maintain service reports, calibration records, and maintenance documentation.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of fuel automation and instrumentation systems.
• Hands-on experience with electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Basic understanding of networking and communication systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Strict adherence to safety and operational standards.

Educational Qualification & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical
• Instrumentation
• Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• Prior experience in fuel automation systems or oil & gas projects will be an added advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per year
