Automation Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Automation Technician to lead the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated entrance systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of swing gates, sliding gates, automatic glass doors, and integrated electronic locking systems. The ideal candidate has a strong background in low-voltage electronics, mechanical troubleshooting, and providing excellent on-site customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation: Set up and configure mechanical operators for swing and sliding gates, including track laying, motor mounting, and arm adjustments.
• Electrical Integration: Wire and program control boards, safety photocells, induction loops, and remote access systems.
• Automatic Doors: Install and calibrate overhead sensors, belt drives, and controllers for commercial sliding or telescopic doors.
• Access Control: Integrate electronic locks (maglocks, electric strikes) with intercoms, card readers, and keypad systems.
• Maintenance & Repair: Conduct routine preventive maintenance and diagnose complex electrical or mechanical failures in existing systems.
• Compliance: Ensure all installations meet safety standards (such as UL 325 or local building codes) to prevent entrapment or injury.
