Summary:
Install, operate, maintain, and perform routine diagnostics on automated systems, distribution line devices, controls, smart grid technologies, and associated equipment.
Responsibilities:
Required:
Associate¿s degree in electrical trade or a formal education in electronic technology and/or electrical theory.
Requires completion of an Apprenticeship program in a related field of study (e.g. electrical, instrumentation, etc.).
Four (4) years of relevant work experience.
Obtain and maintain NERC access
Ability to understand basic networking principles and the operation of various communications devices.
Strong math, computer and electronics skills; ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams and to become proficient with hand tools and various instruments.
Strong Analytic skills are essential to understand automated systems and isolate problems. Must be flexible and adaptable to new technology.
Good verbal and written communications skills.
Knowledge of the District¿s electrical system, including power stations, substations, and distribution network.
Valid Driver¿s License
Must live within 35-mile radius of reporting Center
