SUMMARY OF POSITION
Responsible for supporting the maintenance and modification of all assembly, packaging, and injection molding automated process equipment; This is a technical position. The individual receives work direction from the shift leader and interfaces with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance and Quality Assurance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform general maintenance and repairs on all existing and new assembly and automation equipment including ultrasonic welding on a timely basis to provide maximum machine up time to meet customer-shipping schedules.

Implement modifications to the equipment under the direction of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager to improve quality and production up-time.

Identify opportunities within the automated assembly area to improve quality and productivity.

Knowledge of ultrasonic welding, consisting of set up and troubleshooting a plus. Capable of inspecting welded parts after completion to customer specifications.

Back up driver to deliver goods to shipping/warehouse.

Injection molding processing experience a plus.

Participate as a member of a Cross Function Team and/or Project Team as required.

Perform other related duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS:

AS/Technical or equivalent in related field with three to five years’ experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of complex machinery (OR) an equivalent combination of skills and experience.

Computer experience required

Good understanding of general machine assembly techniques, machine maintenance.

Must own a complete set of required tools for the maintenance of automated equipment.

Technical skills to maintain and troubleshoot complex machinery.

Must be able to use a variety of hand tools, with occasional use of drills, saws, and electrical meter to test circuits and fuses.

Must have the knowledge to understand the OSHA and other federal and state regulations.

Ability to use computers for data entry purposes.

Ability to inspect 2-3 times an hour.

Ability to lift and carry between 10-50 lbs. consistently with a minimum of five to six times in an hour, and weights up to 200 lbs. using hand trucks.

Ability to stand on feet for long periods.
-
This position requires repetitive reaching, stretching, lifting and twisting.

Working conditions include some dust, dirt, noise, with restricted workspaces, but not to the point of being objectionable.
