Fugen Webtech seeking an experienced and passionate Automation Testing Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing robust automated test suites across web, mobile, and API platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), various testing methodologies, and a deep expertise in a variety of industry-standard automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and Development: Architect, develop, and maintain high-quality, reusable, and performance-effective automated test scripts and frameworks for web, mobile (iOS & Android), and API testing.
• Execution and Analysis: Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects, pinpoint root causes, and provide detailed reports to the development team.
• Tool Expertise: Utilize a diverse set of automation tools to cover different testing areas as specified in the required skills.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline to support frequent and reliable releases.
• Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to understand requirements, define test scope, and improve overall product quality.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and technical documentation for automation frameworks and processes.
• Defect Management: Log, track, and manage defects through their lifecycle using Jira or similar project/bug management tools, ensuring prompt resolution and verification.
• Process Improvement: Continuously research and implement new testing techniques, tools, and best practices to enhance the testing process efficiency and coverage.

Required Skills and Experience

Core Automation Expertise (Must-Have)

• 1+ years of hands-on experience in software automation testing.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable and maintainable automation frameworks.
• Strong programming skills in at least one relevant language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#).

Web Automation

• Expertise in Selenium for cross-browser web testing.
• Hands-on experience with modern web automation tools like Playwright and Katalon.

Mobile App Testing (iOS & Android)

• Solid experience with Appium for native, hybrid, and mobile web application testing on both iOS and Android platforms.
• Familiarity with cross-platform mobile testing solutions such as Katalon Studio.
• Experience with other mobile-specific tools like Detox or cloud testing platforms like Kobiton is a plus.

API Testing

• Deep understanding and experience in testing REST and SOAP web services.
• Proficiency with Postman for manual and automated API testing.
• Hands-on experience with dedicated API testing tools like ReadyAPI, SoapUI, or performance testing tools like Apache JMeter.

Other Essential Skills

• Proficiency with Bug and project management tools such as Jira or equivalent (e.g., Azure DevOps, Trello).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Solid understanding of databases and ability to write basic SQL queries for backend validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
