Automation Tester (5+ yrs, Kolkata)

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications.
• Perform manual testing and automate test cases using Selenium, Appium, or similar tools.
• Identify, document, and track bugs using JIRA, Bugzilla, or other defect-tracking tools.
• Conduct functional, regression, performance, security, and usability testing.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and product teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Execute and analyze test results, identifying root causes of issues.
• Contribute to test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility for web and mobile apps.
• If applicable, test games for functionality, performance, and user experience.
• Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test reports, and other testing-related documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail
• Support team on troubleshooting for complex scenarios, suggest and amend framework to handle challenges
• Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software testing for web and mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with manual testing techniques and test case creation.
• Experience with manual testing techniques and test case creation for at least 2 years.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG.
• Experience in API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with defect-tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or TestRail.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of programming/scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript) for test automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs) will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) .
• Experience in Game Testing (Mobile or PC) is a big plus.
• Experience in AR/VR or Unity game testing is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹360,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year

Experience:
